Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith soccer team got back on the winning side with a 3-0 shut out over USA South rival Averett.  The Avenging Angels out hustled the Cougars and kept the pressure on the Averett side of the field.

Meredith (8-3, 2-1 USA South) took the 1-0 halftime lead over Ferrum (7-3, 3-2).  Jesse Davis scored at the 36 minute mark assisted by Emmy Errante.  

In the second half, the Avenging Angels would add two insurance goals from Danielle Lee.  Lee's first goal was assisted my Annah Kane, and her second was assisted by Davis.  

Meredith returns to action on Sunday at 2 p.m. as the Avenging Angels host the Ferrum Panthers.
