Burlington, N.C. - The Meredith tennis continued their march to defending their USA South Athletic Conference championship. The Avenging Angels downed Christopher Newport 7-2 in the semifinals. Meredith will play #1 Methodist in the final on Sunday.

Meredith swept the doubles action in all close matches. Both teams of #2 Alison Flanagan/Casey Collins and #3 Betty Edwards/Mollie Musgrave won 8-6. The #1 duo of Ashley Pearsall and Kathryn Maples won 8-3.

In singles, Meredith took four of six to gain the 7-2 victory. #1 Pearsall, #2 Maples, #5 Edwards and #6 Musgrave all took wins.
