Burlington, N.C. - The Meredith tennis team completed their run in the USA South tournament finals losing to Methodist 6-3. Meredith's Ashley Pearsall and Betty Edwards were named to the All-Tournament team.

Methodist (22-2) took the early 2-1 lead in doubles play. Meredith's #3 team of Edwards and Molly Musgrave won 8-5. The #1 duo of Pearsall and Kathryn Maples fell 8-5 while #2 Casey Collins and Allison Flanagan lost 8-4.

The Monarchs took four of six of the singles matches to seal the 6-3 win. Meredith (12-4) victories included #5 Edwards winning 6-0, 6-4 and #6 Musgrave with the 6-3, 6-1 win.

The Avenging Angels complete their season and await the opportunity of an at large bid to the NCAA tournament.
