Salem, Va. - The Meredith soccer team (4-1) traveled to take on ODAC rival Roanoke (2-3-1) on Wednesday night. The Avenging Angels provided their fourth shutout on the year, downing the Maroons 2-0.

The game remained scoreless for the first 43 minutes until Meredith's Emmy Errante scored on a goal from the top of the box to the right side of the goalie. Danielle Lee added an insurance goal at the 76 minute mark of the second half to give Meredith the win. Lee's goal was assisted by Errante.

Meredith next returns to action on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Catholic University (DC) at 1 p.m.
