Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith soccer team dropped their first home game of the season on Tuesday night.  The Avenging Angels lost in a rainy battle with Lynchburg 2-0. The Hornets (7-2) scored both goals in the first half with goals by Cecilia Moore (24:01) and Jill Melanson (40:43).

Meredith (6-2) next starts USA South Conference play as they travel to Shenandoah on Saturday and Mary Baldwin on Sunday.  Both games are slated for 1 p.m. kickoffs.
