Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith (1-0) soccer team started the season off on the right foot by shutting out visiting ODAC member Guilford (0-2) 4-0.

The Avenging Angels took the 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal from Kimberly Williams at the 16:51 mark.

Meredith then added three second half goals to seal the game. Eliza Evans, Alex Calvert and Danielle Lee all scored for the Avenging Angels.

Meredith next faces Salem on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the show down between first day winners in the Meredith College Classic.
