Danville, Va. - The Meredith soccer team dropped  a USA South Conference game at Averett.  The Avenging Angels fell to the Cougars 4-1.

Averett took the 1-0 lead at the 15 minute mark.  Meredith (4-7-3, 1-3-1 USA South) answered seven minutes later as Jesse Davis scored.  Averett scored right before the half to take the 2-1 halftime lead.

The Cougars scored two more at the 46 and 71 minute marks to seal the game at 4-1.

Meredith next plays at Ferrum on Sunday at 2 p.m.
