Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith tennis team completed a 9-0 sweep of Averett on Sunday during Senior Day.  Meredith senior Zannah Webster was honored in a prematch ceremony.

The doubles finished in a clean 8-0 sweep at all levels.  Ashley Pearsall and Mary Lawrence Newton took the win at #1 while Betty Edwards and Mollie Musgrave won at #2.  Puja Patel and Webster won easy at #3 to give Meredith the 3-0 advantage heading into singles.  The same six players took singles by only giving up a combined six games.

Meredith hosts Christopher Newport on Tuesday with the match scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
