Soccer Shuts Out Spirits, 4-0

Raleigh, N.C. -  The Meredith soccer team rebounded in style with a win over Salem College on Saturday.  The Avenging Angels shutout the Spirits 4-0.

Meredith took the quick 1-0 advantage on the a goal at the 6:02 mark.  Kimberly Williams scored the first goal with an assist from Jesse Davis.  The Avenging Angels tacked on one more at 21:26 as Davis scored on an assist from Sarah Murry.  Meredith took the 2-0 lead into halftime.

Meredith came out in the second and put a thrid goal on the board within the first three minutes.  Davis scored her second goal on the day on a header with another assist from Murray.  Rachel Didier scored her first career goal and was assisted by Morgan Edwards at the 62:43 minute mark.

Meredith returns to action on Sunday with a 1pm start hosting the University of Rutgers-Newark.
