Misenheimer, N.C. - The Meredith tennis team rallied back in singles play to score a 5-4 victory over Pfeiffer University in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon. The Avenging Angels move to 3-0 on the year while the Lady Falcons drop to 3-4.

The Avenging Angels fell behind in doubles play 2-1 as the Lady Falcons took two of three.  Meredith's only win in doubles was by the #3 pairing of Mollie Musgrave and Betty Edwards with a 8-0 victory.

Meredith stormed back in singles play as they took four of six to secure the 5-4 win over Pfeiffer.  Puja Patel took the 6-3, 7-5 win at #1 singles while #3 Caroline Hunt won 6-2, 6-4. Other victories for Meredith were at #5 Edwards (6-1, 7-5) and #6 Musgrave (6-2, 6-3).

Meredith returns to action on the road with a match at N.C. Central on February 26.
