Box Score

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Avenging Angels cruised to a 4-1 win over N.C. Wesleyan in today's first league match of 2012. Jesse Davis earned three assists in the win, as well as contributed the team's final goal of the match just under nine minutes after the intermission.

With the help of Davis, sophomore Danielle Lee put Meredith on the board in the early minutes of the match. Her shot was one of four on goal to lead all players on the day.

Kimberly Williams earned her second goal of the season to send the Avenging Angels to the locker room ahead by two at the end of the period.

To jumpstart the second half and help her team to a conference win, Rachel Didier placed one in the net, assisted by Davis.

The Battling Bishops avoided a shutout with a goal from Rebecca Staylor in the last two minutes of the frame. She was assisted by Nicole Liette.

Meredith hosts the Hornets of Lynchburg College next Wednesday, September 19. First kick is slated for 5:00 p.m.
