Hornets Sting Meredith in 3-0 Shutout

RALEIGH, N.C. - The #11 ranked Lynchburg College Hornets jumped on the Avenging Angels quickly with two goals in the first 19 minutes of play leading to a 3-0 shutout.

With Lynchburg on the attack much of the game, Meredith's keeper Kelsey Hopper earned her position in goal. She collected 10 saves for the Avenging Angels for her second loss of the season.

Jessie Davis led the offensive efforts for Meredith tallying four shots in the match. Nelson Reames made one attempt on goal in the loss.

LC's Dessi Dupuy earned the two goals in the first period for Lynchburg and assisted on the final score of the game at the 79th minute. Morgan Singer knocked in the goal to seal the win.

Meredith wraps up their home tour this weekend hosting LaGrange Saturday, September 22, followed by Piedmont on Sunday. Both games are slated to kickoff at 2:00 pm at the Meredith Athletic Field.
