FERRUM, Va. - Senior goalie Kelsey Hopper grabbed seven saves in today's 3-1 win over Ferrum to help her team bring victory back to Raleigh along with a claim to third in USA South standings.

The Avenging Angels opened the 90 minute shootout at Ferrum with a goal from sophomore Rachel Didier. She was assisted by Megan Luke in the 13th minute of action on the Panther field.

Just a little over two minutes into the second half, junior Jessie Davis launched her fifth goal of the season. Last week's USA South women's soccer rookie of the week Taylor Brown assisted on the play. Brown would find the back of the net in the final three minutes of regulation to carry her team to the locker room with their seventh win of the season.

Ferrum's lone goal came on a penalty kick from Casey Johnson in the 85th minute of play.

The Avenging Angels host Guilford College Wednesday evening for a 5:00 p.m. kickoff at the Meredith Athletic Field.
