RALEIGH, N.C. - Meredith College women's tennis team (6-4, 3-0 USA South) managed the William Peace Pacers (2-3, 2-1 USA South) in a 9-0 sweep in Wednesday's USA South action.

Puja Patel/Caroline Hunt at no. 1 doubles and Betty Edwards/Mollie Musgrave at no. 2 did not lose a point on the way to a trio of wins in round one of today's action at Peace.

Hunt and Edwards cleared their opponents 6-0, 6-0 at no. 2 and no. 4 singles, and the remaining flights dropped no more than one game in a set to secure the conference win.

The previously scheduled match versus N.C. Wesleyan was postponed until Tuesday, April 2, due to the frigid forecast for Thursday. Meredith returns to action Saturday playing host to Methodist with doubles play slated for a 1 p.m. start.
