RALEIGH, N.C. - The Meredith College Avenging Angels shut out visiting Mary Baldwin 7-0 with a collective effort. Five players scored and three more Angels recorded assists to secure the team's fifth consecutive USA South win.

Seniors Robin Moore and Danielle Lee partnered up to open the scoring in the 11th minute of the match. Lee would assist on the only second half goal as well to take her season assists to nine and stand alone as the league leader.

The Avenging Angels' leading scorer Meredith McCarty added two more to her season totals with back-to-back netters in the 14th and 15th minutes of the match. Moore and Sarah Varnell each assisted on a goal.

After a series of missed attempts by the Avenging Angels, Jamison Kidd passed to McCarty who found Megan Amanatides ready for the score. The goal was her fourth on the season.

Amanatides then helped Christa Jackson to one of her two goals on the day, and Madison Mathis gave the Angels a 6-0 lead on an unassisted score heading into the half.

Jackson would score the lone second half goal to extend the Meredith lead to seven for the win.

All three Meredith keepers entered the game with Jaisa Loch recording her seventh career win. Loch tallied four saves on the day.

The Greensboro Pride visits the Angels' Den Saturday afternoon for a 2 p.m. USA South matchup. GC enters the game with a USA South record of 2-1-1, including an extra period win over Methodist and a victory over Averett in their most recent match.
