Box Score ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- In Tuesday's USA South match at N.C. Wesleyan, postponed from the weekend due to Hurricane Matthew, the Meredith College soccer team scored late in the second overtime period to hold on for their fifth conference win on the season.
Rookie Kayla Boudreau scored first off a pass across field from Elizabeth Snotherly to give the Angels a 1-0 advantage midway through the first period.
In what appeared to be a regulation win for Meredith, Battling Bishop Ella Burkhart forced the extra period on an unassisted goal from 35-yards out to tie the match with just 58 seconds left on the clock.
Nearly seven minutes into the second overtime period, Cassie Padilla tapped in a corner kick from Meredith McCarty to end the match in favor of the Angels.
Jasia Loch earned the win for the Avenging Angels with six saves, and Ashley Major recorded the loss for Wesleyan.
