Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Meredith College soccer team extended their USA South wins to two with a 1-0 victory over the Greensboro Pride. Ellice Johnson delivered her second assist of the weekend, this time to Meghan Ingram, to lead the Angels to the win.
The pair scored the game winner in the 23rd minute of the match, and goalie Jaisa Loch would save the one shot on goal from GC late in the second period to hold on for her third win on the season.
Meredith led the match with 12 shots, including four from Jessica Wallace and three apiece from Johnson and Samantha Litt. Loch played her second complete match in goal recording two saves on the day.
Greensboro's Brittany Morrison earned her fourth loss in goal for the Pride with five saves in 90 minutes played.
The Avenging Angels continue their road series Wednesday evening traveling to Danville, Virginia to face off with the Averett Cougars at 6 p.m. Averett also has two wins early in conference play, also versus William Peace and Greensboro.
