Angels Tennis Falls to Cougars, 9-0

DANVILLE, Va. -- In Saturday's USA South women's tennis action, the Meredith College Avenging Angels fell 9-0 to host Averett University.

Aly Henneberry was the one singles player to steal any games from the Cougars, as she scored one and three points, respectively, at the no. 1 spot.

In doubles play Amelie Gillies paired up with Summer Elkins on court two and won one game versus partners Inka Zeilstra and Paula Ryhsen.

The competition remains tough for the Angels next match slated for Wednesday, April 7, as host to the Methodist Monarchs.
