Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith soccer program fell 3-1 to William Peace University Tuesday night after honoring seniors Kasey Wilkins, Morgan Thomas, Kaelin Sanderford and Emily Haynes.

The Avenging Angels went down early as the Pacers found the back of the net in just the 2nd minute of action. William Peace extended its lead in the 23rd minute but Meredith anwsered back just two minutes later when freshman Laruen Quarantello scored off an assist from junior Claire-Emma Britt.

Meredith trailed 2-1 at the half. The second half brought many chances for the Angels but they could never capitailze as the Pacers scored in the 85th minute to shut the door. 

Meredith was outshot 10-6 by the Pacers.

The Avenging Angels wrap up the 2022 season Friday at Southern Virginia with kickoff set for 6 p.m.
