Rocky Mount, N.C. - The Avenging Angels fell 4-1 to the Battling Bishops Wednesday night on Scalf Field.

Meredith (1-6-1, 0-3-1 USA South) found its lone goal in the 79th minute when sophomore Meredith Warrick found junior Claire-Emma Britt for her first goal of the season. Warrick tallied her second assist on the year. 

N.C. Wesleyan (6-6-0, 3-1-0 USA South) boasted a balanced attack scoring two goals in each half.

The Avenging Angels were out shot 16-10 and found both of their corner kicks in the second half. Senior Kasey Wilkins tallied seven saves in goal.

Meredith is back in action when they travel to Salem Saturday for a 2 p.m. kick.
