Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith Soccer team opened up their 2022 campaign with a 3-0 win over Grace Christian University Friday afternoon at the Meredith Athletic Complex.

The Avenging Angels got the party started early when senior Morgan Thomas found the back of the net in the 2nd minute of the game. Meredith controlled the game throughout while earning seven corner kicks to Grace Christian's zero.

Meredith extended its lead before the half off one of those corner kicks when sophomore Meredith Warrick found fellow sophomore Lauren Webster in the 44th minute. 

Just two minutes into the second half Thomas found her second goal of the game and the Avenging Angels were offically in cruise control. Meredith ended up outshooting Grace Christian 14-4.

The Avenging Angels are back in action tomorrow at noon when they host Bob Jones University.
