Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith soccer team dropped its first match of the 2022 season falling 4-0 to Bob Jones University Saturday afternoon at Meredith athletic field. 

The game was held scoreless for the first 35 minutes until Bob Jones found the back of the net and headed into the halftime break with a 1-0 lead. The Bears added three more goals in the second half to extend their lead. 

Senior Kasey Wilkins earned seven saves in goal while junior Madeline Ostrowski put two shots on goal for the Avenging Angels. 

Meredith is back in action Sep. 10th when they take on Shenandoah at 2 p.m. in Rocky Mount N.C.
