RALEIGH, N.C. - The Meredith tennis program hosted Methodist University for their USA South home opener where they fell 9-0 Wednesday afternoon. 

The Monarchs swept doubles to begin the day but the sophomore duo of Ellie Osborne and Sophie Phillips did not go down without a fight in No. 1 doubles losing 8-4. 

Methodist also swept all singles matches.

The Angels are back in action when they travel to Brevard, on Saturday at 11 a.m.
