After a scoreless first half, grad student Rebecca Morrison netted the lone goal for the Avenging Angels, demonstrating her offensive skills. Goalkeepers Khaliah Jones and Samantha Woodfin shared time in goal, with Woodfin making two critical saves to help preserve the tie.
Both teams showcased strong defensive efforts, with neither side giving much ground throughout the match. Meredith's defense stood firm, effectively neutralizing Randolph's offensive threats and keeping the game tightly contested.
Meredith now turns its attention to USA South Conference play, kicking off this Saturday, home at 2:00 p.m., against Brevard College. The match coincides with Alumni Day, where former players will be welcomed back to celebrate their contributions to the program.
