CHARLOTTE, N.C. — October 10, 2025 — The Meredith College Cross Country team delivered a dominant performance at the Royals Cross Country Challenge on Friday, finishing
1st overall in a highly competitive field that included NCAA Division I, II, III, and JUCO programs. The Avenging Angels tallied
69 team points, comfortably ahead of second-place
UVA-Wise, who finished with 101 points.
Leading the way was junior
Delaney Bundy, who turned in a commanding performance to claim the
individual title with a time of
18:36.56. Bundy's victory set the tone for the Angels' success, as the team placed four runners in the top 20.
Close behind was freshman
Juana Silva Jimenez, finishing
5th overall with a time of
19:10.12, continuing her strong season as a consistent front-runner. Senior
Carly O'Toole added a top-10 finish as well, crossing in
9th place at
19:28.00.
Freshman
Madison Moyer secured crucial points with a
20th place finish in
20:07.51, while freshman
Abigail Davis rounded out the scoring five in
36th place with a time of
20:48.10. Also competing for the Angels were
Addison Doran (38th – 20:53.48) and
Ashleigh Modlin (67th – 21:50.40), helping solidify Meredith's strong team presence across the board.
"This was a big day for this group, a ton of lifetime PR's" said Head Coach
Field Miller "We have preached trusting the process while taking advantage of opportunities and today we finally felt like a cohesive unit that was clicking together. Very proud of the momentum we are building."
The Avenging Angels will be back in action at the
NCAA DIII South Region Preview Meet on
October 18, hosted by
Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia.
