FOUR OAKS, N.C. – Meredith College freshmen Laura Lee Allen and Jenna Underwood led the Avenging Angels in the Battle of Route 64 tri-match Thursday afternoon at Reedy Creek Country Club.

Allen paced the team with an 82, finishing just one stroke behind the tournament medalist. The freshman's consistent play from tee to green kept her in contention throughout the round. Underwood followed with an 87, securing third place individually and giving Meredith two top-three finishes on the day.

Meredith won the head-to-head among the three teams thanks to the strong individual finishes by Allen and Underwood. The duo's performance stood out as a bright spot for the young squad.
