JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – Competing against a strong field on a challenging course, the Meredith College golf team delivered a determined performance at the Camp Lejeune Marine Intercollegiate, held at Paradise Point Golf Course – Scarlet Course. The Avenging Angels finished 10th overall, continuing to build experience and confidence against competitive regional programs.
Leading the way for Meredith,
Jenna Underwood turned in an impressive performance, finishing tied for 18th overall with a three-round score of 248 (+35). Her second-round 79 highlighted her steady play and ability to navigate the course effectively .
Lainey Edwards added another strong showing, finishing tied for 31st at 258 (+45), while
Rachel Williamson and
Madelyn Caldwell rounded out the lineup, each gaining valuable tournament experience on a demanding stage .
The Scarlet Course, known for its demanding layout and emphasis on precision, provided a strong test, and the Angels embraced the opportunity to compete alongside top teams such as Oglethorpe and Virginia Wesleyan.
Meredith will wrap up its season at the USA South Conference Championship, scheduled for April 20–22 at Carolina Trace Country Club in Sanford, N.C.
