MISENHEIMER, N.C. — The Meredith College Avenging Angels turned in an outstanding performance at the 2025 USA South Women's Cross Country Championship on Saturday at Pfeiffer University, finishing second as a team while capturing top individual honors.
Delaney Bundy claimed the individual championship, completing the 6,000-meter course in 22:03.3 to secure the victory. Her stellar run earned her the titles of USA South Runner of the Year, Conference Champion, and First Team All-Conference, highlighting an extraordinary season.
The Avenging Angels had strong contributions across the lineup, with Juana Silva Jimenez finishing fifth overall to also earn First Team All-Conference honors. Carly O'Toole (8th), Abigail Davis (9th), and Madison Moyer (10th) rounded out Meredith's scoring, each earning Second Team All-Conference recognition. Addison Doran earned Third Team All-Conference accolades with a 13th-place finish.
Meredith's Ashleigh Modlin was recognized for her leadership and sportsmanship with selection to the All-Sportsmanship Team, exemplifying the team's competitive spirit and commitment to excellence.
While Southern Virginia University captured the team championship for the second consecutive year, the Avenging Angels demonstrated resilience and depth, finishing just five points behind the Knights. The team's effort reflected a season marked by growth, determination, and standout individual achievements.
