LYNCHBURG, Va. | Meredith College track and field had 17 personal records (PR) recorded over the weekend at the Liberty Open.
Abigail Clayton tacked on another accolade, breaking the freshman indoor school record in the 400 meters. She finished the 400 in 1:01.57, good for 31
st place.

Abrianna Casarez, and
Jaelyne Thorton all set PRs in their events.

ABOUT THE MEET:
- Clayton set the Freshman Indoor School record in the 400m run with a time of 1:01.57 good for 31st place. She also ran the 200m and crossed the line at 27.77.
- Laura Brown had a fantastic race in the 3,000-meter run. She set a personal record and a season best with her time of 12:34.61. Her efforts against a strong field placed her in 57th.
- Maddie Morton posted her season best in the 400-meter run crossing the line in 1:06.56 for 54th.
- Abrianna Casarez and Jaelyne Thorton both set personal records in the 60-meter dash. Casarez finished in 59th (8.56) and Thorton placed 69th (8.76).
- Ellie-Reed Zimmerman competed in the 60-meter hurdles and finished the race in 11:03 which earned her 42nd.
