WILMINGTON, N.C. | Meredith College Track and Field competed in their first outdoor meet this weekend at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational.
Ellie-Reed Zimmerman set a new school record in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 17.90.

INSIDE THE MEET:
- Laura Brown placed fourth in the 5,000 meters, crossing the line in 21:58.60.
- Delaney Bundy ran the 1,500 meters in 5:50.15 good for fifth place.
- Abigail Clayton competed in the 400m and the 200m. Clayton earned 6th in the 400 meters, posting a time of 1:01.64 and got 23rd in the 200 meters with a time of 26.78.
- Caitlin Brown's time of 2:41.98 earned her 9th in the 800m.
- Ellie-Reed Zimmerman set a new school record in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.90. She also competed in the 400-meter hurdles (1:23.41) and finished in 10th.
- Abrianna Casarez took 8th in the 400-meter hurdles crossing the line in 1:14.10.
- Abigail Clayton, Natasha Elder, Madelyn Morton, and Abrianna Casarez ran the 4x100 Relay in 52.18 to earn 5th place.
- Kendal Carroll secured a top ten finish in the triple jump, jumping 10.47 meters.
- Athena Mowatt and Sam Carmichael both competed in the Javelin Throw. Mowatt came in 8th (26.36 m) and Carmichael in 9th (24.43m).
- Mowatt also snagged 14th in the shot put with a distance of 10.69m.
