ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — The Meredith College Avenging Angels women's soccer team battled to a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Bob Jones University on Friday evening.

Bob Jones controlled much of the opening 15–20 minutes, but as the Avenging Angels began to settle into their rhythm, they created strong opportunities of their own. Late in the first half, Meredith's attack pushed forward with quality looks on goal from Evelyn Hopkins and Emma Jolliff, along with a dangerous set piece from Taylor Stewart that kept the Bruins' defense on its heels.

That momentum carried into the second half, where Meredith dictated play and generated seven corner kicks while keeping constant pressure in the attacking third.

Defensively, the Avenging Angels' back line of Emily Langley, Isabella Stafford, and Taylor Stewart anchored the effort, limiting Bob Jones to just two shots on goal and two corner kicks the entire match. The organized defensive unit gave Meredith the foundation to grow stronger as the game progressed.

Head Coach Kirstie King praised the team's resilience and composure: "Each half we started to connect more and find the rhythm of our game. It was a great team effort, and we're ready to build on this performance heading into Sunday."
