Angels Close Regular Season with Dominant Shutout at Brevard

BREVARD, N.C. – Meredith College lacrosse capped off a perfect USA South Conference regular season in emphatic fashion Sunday afternoon, delivering a commanding 23-0 victory on the road at Brevard College. The Avenging Angels improve to 14-4 overall and 9-0 in conference play, and the milestone win also marked Head Coach Lauren Scott's 100th career USA South Conference victory. With the result, Coach Scott now holds 190 overall wins during her time at Meredith College.

Game Highlights

Meredith wasted no time setting the tone, erupting for 13 first-quarter goals and never looking back. The Avenging Angels controlled every facet of the game, outshooting Brevard 40-1 and holding the Tornados without a shot on goal.

Defensively, Meredith was just as dominant, forcing 22 turnovers and limiting Brevard to a 3-for-17 clearing effort. The Angels also controlled possession with a 22-2 edge in draw controls and a clean 8-for-8 performance on clears.

The second half saw Meredith maintain control while rotating players throughout the lineup, adding four more goals to secure the shutout victory.
