Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith softball team traveled to Greensboro to take on the Pride. The Avenging Angels were swept in the doubleheader.

Game 1: Greensboro 2, Meredith 1 - 8 innings - Greensboro took the 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The Pride held the lead until Meredith tied things up in the sixth inning. Arielle Stout doubled to center field to score pitch runner Val Sherrer.

Greensboro held Meredith scoreless in the top of the eighth. In the bottom of the eighth, the Pride knocked in their placed runner on a double to win the game.

Game 2: Greensboro 8, Meredith 0 - 6 innings - The Pride held Meredith to five hits in six innings in a 8-0 win over the Avenging Angels.

Meredith next travels to Guilford on Thursday.
