Davis, Standridge Receive NFCA All-Region Honors

RALEIGH, N.C. - Following one of the strongest seasons in program history, Meredith College softball earned national recognition as senior pitcher Lillie Davis and junior first baseman Ashbee Standridge were named to the 2026 NFCA Division III All-Region VI Team, as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

Lillie.Davis – NFCA All-Region First Team

Senior pitcher Lillie Davis, a native of Roxboro, North Carolina, earned NFCA All-Region First Team honors after a dominant season in the circle for the Avenging Angels.

Earlier this spring, Davis was named the USA South Conference Pitcher of the Year and earned First Team All-Conference recognition following a standout senior campaign. Davis led the conference in wins, strikeouts, ERA, and shutouts.

Davis has established herself as one of the top pitchers in NCAA Division III this season and currently leads the nation in wins with 25. Throughout the year, she consistently delivered against both conference and regional competition, helping Meredith secure key victories over nationally recognized opponents while leading one of the program's most successful seasons to date.

In addition to multiple USA South Pitcher of the Week honors, Davis was also selected as the NFCA Division III Pitcher of the Week in April after a stretch that included five wins, three one-hitters, and 33 strikeouts over 32 innings pitched.

Ashbee.Standridge – NFCA All-Region Second Team

Junior first baseman Ashbee Standridge, a native of Creedmoor, North Carolina, was named to the NFCA All-Region Second Team following a standout season for Meredith.

Standridge previously earned First Team All-USA South honors after delivering one of the Avenging Angels' most consistent offensive and defensive performances throughout the season.

A steady presence in the middle of the lineup, Standridge helped anchor Meredith's offense while also providing strong defensive play at first base during conference and postseason competition.

Standridge hit an impressive .361 on the season while leading the USA South Conference in RBI with 50 and breaking the Meredith single-season home run record with 12.

National Recognition

The NFCA All-Region awards recognize the top student-athletes across 10 regions in NCAA Division III softball. Players are nominated and selected by NFCA member head coaches within their respective regions.

All-Region honorees now advance to consideration for the 2026 NFCA Division III All-America teams, which will be announced May 27.

Meredith was one of several programs represented on the Region VI teams, continuing to build national recognition following a season that included strong regional victories and a deep USA South Conference Tournament run.
