Staunton, Va. - The Meredith basketball team begun a weekend road trip at Mary Baldwin.  The Avenging Angels fell to the Fighting Squirrels 67-57.

The first half remained close with Mary Baldwin holding the 22-20 halftime advantage.  Meredith led on the boards with a 56-47 advantage but gave up 26 turnovers compared to 12 by the Squirrels.

Megan Rahn's 34 points led all scorers and 15 rebounds combined it for a double-double.  Kristin Stewart and Kaela Bellefeuil both added six points each for Meredith.  Denise Johnson led Mary Baldwin with 18 points and nine rebounds.

Meredith returns to action on Sunday at Shenandoah.
