Raleigh, N.C. – Basketball freshman guard Molly Zuburg of has been named USA South Conference Rookie of the Week following a strong all-around performance during a 3-0 week for the Avenging Angels against conference opponents.

Zuburg averaged 16.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 3.3 steals per game, helping Meredith pick up key USA South victories and continue its push through conference play. The Raleigh, North Carolina native made an impact on both ends of the floor, contributing scoring, rebounding, playmaking, and defensive pressure throughout the week.

In a 57-54 win over Salem College, Zuburg posted 17 points, seven rebounds, five steals, and four assists. She followed that effort with 19 points, eight rebounds, three steals, and two assists in a 57-53 victory against Greensboro College. Zuburg closed the week with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds, while also dishing out seven assists and adding two steals in a 71-66 road win at Mary Baldwin University.

Her consistent production and versatility were instrumental in Meredith's perfect week against USA South foes, showcasing the freshman's role within the Meredith Basketball program!
