Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith (9-13, 4-2 USA South) softball team gained a pair of 13-0 wins over Mary Baldwin (4-14, 0-8) on Saturday morning. 

Game 1:  Meredith 13, Mary Baldwin 0 - 5 innings - Meredith's offensive onslaught was led by two-run home runs from Emily Cooke and Kristin Piner.  Ashley Green and Sara Cranford both had doubles for the Avenging Angels.  The Avenging Angels produced 14 hits and 13 runs in only four innings of offensive.  Arielle Stout pitched a five inning no-hitter, only giving up one walk and striking out 14.

Game 2:  Meredith 13, Mary Baldwin 0 - 5 innings - The Avenging Angel's bats did not quiet in the second game, once again pushing across 13 runs on 14 hits in four innings.  Highlights included Carrie Webster's two-run home run and Cooke's two hits (a double and a triple) and scoring three times.  Green drove in four runs on three hits including a double.  Carrie Webster picked up the win, striking out seven and giving up three hits.

Meredith returns to action on Sunday at 1 p.m. as the Avenging Angels host Peace in a StriKeOut Cancer game doubleheader.
