Fayetteville, N.C. - The Meredith volleyball team traveled to Methodist on Wednesday night for a USA South conference match.  The Monarch took the Avenging Angels 3-1.

Methodist took the first, third and fourth sets to win 3-1 (25-18, 24-26, 25-20, 25-15).  The Monarchs finished with a much higher hitting percentage of 0.298 compared to Meredith's 0.064.  Methodist also held the advantage on blocks 10-5.

Meredith was led by Cori Spade with 17 kills and six digs.  Molly Markley finished with seven kills and two blocks.  Emily Anderson had 14 digs and Clarke Glendenning had 19 assists.

Meredith next hosts Shenandoah on Saturday at 12 p.m.  They then play Greensboro later in the day at 4 p.m.
