ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- The Meredith College basketball Angels returned to action Friday night to face off with an undefeated N.C. Wesleyan Bishops squad. Caroline Coleman topped all with 20 points in 6-of-10 shooting from three-point range.

Meredith opened with the lead, but the Bishops scored 10 consecutive points to claim the advantage for good in the fourth minute of the game.

Coleman's 20 points and six three-pointers marked a pair of career-highs for the junior guard. Kimberly Schuh grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds and scored 13 points for her sixth double-double of the season. But both double-figure scoring efforts could not close the gap missed from the team's absent leading scorer.

Piper Carriere scored six with four assists, and De'ja Morgan tallied five points, four boards. Mikayla Thompson scored two buckets in the second quarter, adding four rebounds and one assist on the night. Mikayla Farris and Madi Leonard added one assist apiece.

Bishop Myrayna Watkins notched the lone double-double for N.C. Weslyan with 17 points, 10 rebounds, adding a pair of steals. 

MCBB returns to Weatherspoon Gym Sunday afternoon for a 2 p.m. rematch with the Battling Bishops. Head Coach LaQuanda Quick and her squad will celebrate Schuh's decorated four-year career just before tipoff. Tune into the live stream HERE, as spectators are not permitted in the venue.
