The fast-paced 40 minutes did not suit the Angels, who shot just 29 percent from the floor. But they continued to pressure Wesleyan's defense and refused to fold until the final buzzer.
Caroline Coleman scored four but none from beyond the three-point line, adding a pair of assists and a pair of steals. Piper Carriere dished out four assists with one bucket, and Mikayla Thompson scored two with three rebounds, one steal. De'ja Morgan came off the bench to grab four rebounds and an assist, and Madi Leonard battled for a pair of rebounds.
Eleven of the Bishop's 15 players scored in today's game with Kayla Johnson leading the pack with a dozen. Wesleyan hit eight three's, dished out 19 assists, and picked up seven steals to hold back the Angels' effort.
