Box Score Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith basketball program dropped a tight non-conference game against Bridgewater 61-49 inside Weatherspoon Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.
The Angels battled tough against the tough Eagles from the ODAC only trailing by six at the halftime break. The third quarter proved to be the distance as Bridgewater extended its lead by seven out scoring the Angels 20-13.
Meredith headed to the fourth trailing by 13 but fought all the way back to cut the lead to just six. The Eagles ended the game with a 4-0 run to shut the door.
The Angels were led by senior Kate Perko who tallied a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds while junior Piper Carriere 13 points and four assists.
Meredith is back in action tomorrow when they host Guilford at 2 p.m.
