Box Score Fayetteville, N.C. - The Meredith basketball program picked up its second win of the weekend 51-41 over Methodist University Saturday afternoon inside the Riddle Center.
Meredith (4-12, 4-5 USA South) jumped out to a 28-15 lead at the halftime break after two dominating quarters of play. The Avenging Angels held the Monarchs to just 29.5 percent shooting on the night.
Methodist (10-5, 6-3 USA South) trailed by 20 heading into the final quarter of action after Meredith outscored them by seven in the third. Senior Kate Perko tallied another double-double scoring 25 points and grabbing 17 rebounds to help close it out for the Angels.
Junior Piper Carriere added 10 points as well.
Meredith is back at home Wednesday, Jan. 18th when they host Salem at 6 p.m.
