Box Score Raleigh, N.C. - The Meredith Avenging Angels picked up another USA South win 57-44 over Mary Baldwin University Saturday afternoon inside Weatherspoon gymnasium to move one game above .500 in conference play.
Meredith (6-13, 7-6 USA South) saw senior Kate Perko notch 1000 career rebounds in her Avenging Angels career in a 12-point and 23 rebound afternoon.
Mary Baldwin (1-17, 2-10) was led by Mekayla Clarke who had a game-high 20 points.
The Angels outscored Mary Baldwin 12-6 in the second quarter and never looked back. The outscored the Fighting Squirrels in every quarter of the contest.
Sophomore Emma Lodge tallied a career-high with 13 points while junior Danika Ray earned 10 points and five rebounds. Junior Piper Carriere added seven points with six assists as well.
Meredith is back in action Wednesday, Feb. 1st, when they travel to Greensboro College with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
