Box Score 2 Kissimmee, Fl. - The Avenging Angels softball program went 1-1 on day two in Flordia at the Fortune Road Athletic Complex.
In game one of the day, Meredith (8-6) fell 2-0 to Arcadia (3-5) leaving six runners on base. Arcadia scored two in the second which proved to be the difference.
Freshman Lillie Davis tallied three strikeouts in seven innings only giving up one earned run and four hits.
The Angels' offense came alive in game two of the day beating St. Joseph's (L.I.) (1-5) 11-1 in five innings.
Senior Hannah Weigle tallied six strikeouts in the circle while only giving up four hits and no earned runs.
Freshman Morgan Knight led the way with three hits and four RBIs while junior Sarah Manis also tallied three hits with one RBI.
Senior Fallon Wimberly and junior Laura Tobin added a hit and two RBIs each.
Meredith is back in action Thursday when they battle Bethel (Minn.) at 2 p.m. followed by Amherst at 4:30 p.m.
