RALEIGH, N.C. - The Avenging Angels lacrosse team picked up a 9-4 non-conference win over Lebanon Valley Wednesday night at the Meredith Track & Field Complex.

Meredith (3-2) jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first quarter seeing three different Angels find the back of the net. Lebanon Valley (1-3) trailed 6-1 at halftime. 

The only quarter Lebanon Valley outscored Meredith was the third 2-1 but the Angels closed the game out with two more goals in the fourth. 

Junior Jessica Dowdy led the Angels with three goals while sophomore Lauryn Turner added two. The freshman duo of Brooke Blades and Reese Walker added a goal each while the senior pair of Kylie Phillips and Tori Witmer scored one each. 

Junior Madeline Horrell tallied seven saves in goal.

The Angels are back in action on March 14th when they travel to Brevard at 2 p.m.
