Fayetteville, N.C. - The Meredith Tennis Program 2023 spring season came to an end in the first round of the USA South Conference Tournament. The No. 7 seed Angels fell 5-0 in play to finish action at No. 2 seed Methodist University at the Gene Clayton Tennis Center.

The Monarchs began the day sweeping doubles action over the Avenging Angels. The sophomore duo of Ellie Osborne and Sophie Phillips fell 8-2 in the No. 1 doubles slot while sophomore Claire Southern and junior Hannah Jo Jablonski also fell 8-2 in No. 2 doubles action. 

Methodist only needed two wins in singles action to advance to the next round. They won each in straight sets. 

Meredith finishes 3-9 in the 2023 spring season in the first season under the new direction of Eric Douglass.
