Box Score Raleigh, N.C. — The Meredith College volleyball team defeated William Peace University in straight sets, 25–19, 25–17, 25–19, on Wednesday night inside. Graduate middle blocker Sara Dees led the way with nine kills and a strong presence at the net, anchoring one of the team's most complete performances of the season.
How It Happened
Meredith jumped out early in the first set with strong attacks from Caitlyn Russell and Daven Brabble, building a lead the Angels would never relinquish. Dees contributed timely kills and key blocks, helping Meredith take the opener 25–19.
In the second set, Russell continued to lead offensively while Dees maintained her dominant play in the middle. Defensive efforts from libero Megan Murray and the back row kept William Peace off balance, giving Meredith a 25–17 win in set two.
The Avenging Angels closed the sweep in the third set with consistent attacking and smart court coverage. Dees added several late kills and assisted on multiple blocks to secure the final 25–19 set.
