RALEIGH, N.C. – Meredith College volleyball opens its 2025 season this weekend at the Sewanee Invitational in Sewanee, Tenn., facing a competitive slate that includes three former USA South rivals and a long-awaited matchup with the host Tigers.
The Avenging Angels will square off against Huntingdon College, Maryville College, and Berea College—former USA South rivals—before taking on Sewanee University for the first time since 2010. The four-match weekend marks a challenging and exciting start to the season for Meredith.
Meredith's 2025 roster features a strong mix of experience and new talent, with 14 returners and five newcomers ready to make an impact. Returning to the court for the Avenging Angels are former USA South Rookie of the Year Delaney Lowery, along with All-Conference performers Lillie Davis and Sara Dees.
With a strong group of returners and the energy and athleticism of five newcomers, the Avenging Angels enter the season with a dynamic roster ready to compete. The Sewanee Invitational provides an early test and an opportunity to set the tone for the 2025 campaign.
