HARRISONBURG, Va. – Meredith's Lainey Edwards, the lone representative from the golf program, wrapped up the opening round of the Bridgewater Invitational in a five-way tie for 27th on Monday afternoon. 

Edwards, who is 15-over-par in the opening round, fired an 87 at the event. Her day included one birdie, which came on the 11th hole, along with six pars. Four of those pars came on the front nine, which took place at the first, third, fourth and eighth holes.
