RALEIGH, N.C. – Meredith College sophomore Bryanna Herring has been named the USA South Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week following a standout performance at the Liberty Open.

Herring, a native of Brockport, New York, competed in two events and delivered a record-breaking showing in the weight throw. She set a new USA South Conference and Meredith College program record with a massive mark of 16.19 meters, continuing to solidify herself as one of the top throwers in the conference.

In addition to her record-setting effort, Herring also competed in the shot put, recording a strong throw of 8.73 meters to cap off an impressive weekend of competition.

Herring's performances earned her the conference's top weekly honor, standing out among a competitive field of nominees. 

This accolade adds to a growing list of achievements for the sophomore and highlights a strong start to the indoor season for the Meredith College track and field program.
